The Pentax Asahi 6x7 is certainly one of the most famous reflex medium-format camera. With it's super-takumar opticals in their multi-coated versions, handcrafted in Japan, the definition turn absolutely insane. However it has some bad points, as its flash-synchro down to 1/30s, which is very slow. Even if the flash hit the light under 1/1000 or more, the 1/30s problem is due to the weight of the curtain which leads to vibrations and thus a loss of quality. It can be offset by the .... which close the curtain in two steps, or by choosing the central-shutter lens (90mm or 160mm).
Another debate stands on the conversion ratio between the focal distance of a 24x36 lens and a medium-format camera lens. Below an attempt to resolve this issue.
